For Playful and Adventurous Kids: Our New Children’s Lights

Just in time for “The Secret Life of Pets 2” – the big summer hit from Illumination – VARTA Consumer Batteries now offers children’s lights featuring the main characters of the new “Pets” animated film. The all-too-human antics of Max the Terrier, his fluffy pal Gidget the Pomeranian, Chloe the overweight cat and their other four-legged friends keep movie audiences laughing hyphen. “The Secret Life of Pets 2” starts in cinemas beginning of May / June 2019.


Unbelievable things can happen when pets are left at home all alone for a few hours. Curtains are torn from their rails, sofa cushions are discovered as tasty new snacks, despite a full doggy bowl and half the household is rearranged in just a few minutes. Hilarious glimpses behind the scenes of an all-animal extravaganza that pet owners rarely see, makes “Pets” an absolute box-office hit. “The Secret Life of Pets 2” again unleashes Max, Gidget, Chloe, Norman, Snowball and the other Pets on the unsuspecting cinema audience. So that the Pets’ adventures don’t end with the final credits, these furry heroes can now also frolic in the children’s room at home.

A NIGHTLIGHT TO LOVE

“Too cute not to cuddle” is the motto of the Plush Night Light in the form of Gidget the miniature Pomeranian. Fluffy and sweet as cotton candy, VARTA’s Gidget nightlight invites kids to cuddle and relax. When a child presses Gidget’s left front paw, the pastel pink heart on her chest lights up to help the littlest members of the family enjoy a restful night’s sleep. Parents can save themselves a trip to the children’s room because after 30 minutes it’s also bedtime for the Gidget nightlight, which automatically switches itself off.

The Pets Night Light is dedicated to the movie’s starring canine. From now on, Max the terrier faithfully watches over the little one’s bed. Whenever his dog bowl is touched, Max immediately begins to glow in either of two brightness levels. Level “high” automatically switch off after 30 minutes and level “low” goes out after 60 minutes, so this terrier nightlight is a loyal and reliable companion, night after night.

ON A DISCOVERY TOUR WITH THE CHILDREN'S LIGHTS

This light automatically switches on to light the way when night owls begin sneaking through the room in total darkness. Decorated with portraits of Max, Gidget, Chloe and Snowball, the Pets Night Light with Motion Sensor reliably detects every movement within a distance of three metres and a radius of 120°. It switches off after 90 seconds so the pets can go back to sleep. For longer tours, VARTA offers the Pets Flashlight, an LED children’s flashlight in a compact size with a beautiful two-color design.
